Education is a Journey Best Traveled Together

At American Faith Academy, online learning doesn’t mean learning alone. We are a vibrant, nationwide community of families, educators, and students, united in faith and a shared passion for learning.

The Power of a Christ-Centered Community

We were created for fellowship. That’s why community is not an add-on at American Faith Academy; it is central to our educational model. We intentionally cultivate a rich community life that provides support, encouragement, and a true sense of belonging for both parents and students.

One body—many places.

Even though our students learn from different places, they are part of a single, unified body of believers. We provide numerous opportunities for connection, collaboration, and fellowship—so your family feels part of something bigger than itself.

For students

Friendships Forged in Faith and Learning

Our students connect with peers from across the country and around the world who share their values and love for learning. We foster these connections through engaging, meaningful experiences that sharpen minds and build lasting relationships.

Virtual Community

Virtual Global Learning Community

Students gather regularly in virtual Socratic seminars, salons, and debates with peers across the U.S. and around the globe. These are dynamic, collaborative explorations of truth—students discuss Great Books, defend ideas, present original work, and sharpen one another’s thinking. Every student’s voice is valued, and friendships grow through shared pursuits.

Clubs & Competitions

Student Clubs and Competitions

Students can join clubs focused on their passions—debate and public speaking, strategic games, robotics and STEM, creative writing, literature, coding and technology, visual arts, music and worship, service and missions, apologetics, and more. Student-led and faculty-mentored groups meet regularly and provide a space to explore and connect.

Beyond clubs, students can compete in science fairs, speech and debate, academic bowls, math competitions, history and writing contests, and classical academic challenges—building confidence, camaraderie, and shared pride.

Travel & Fellowship

Field Trips, Service, and Social Connection

Learning comes alive through travel experiences to significant historical sites, cultural landmarks, and places of biblical and classical importance. Students build deep friendships across the network while gaining a global perspective rooted in faith and truth.

Students also collaborate on service projects and missions—putting faith into action and discovering the joy of serving others. Through a pen pal program and moderated social groups, students share prayer requests, celebrate victories, and encourage one another.

Forums, Training, and Resources

Our private online forums are a place to connect, share resources, and ask questions—whether you need curriculum advice, a word of encouragement, or someone who understands.

We also equip you with ongoing training in classical education, discipleship, and platform use through webinars, workshops, and resource libraries—so you feel confident and supported in your role as your child’s primary educator.

In-person connection

Excelara Schools: The Best of Both Worlds

For families seeking a blend of at-home flexibility and in-person community, Excelara Schools offer a physical hub for learning and discipleship. Hosted by local church partners, these centers complement personalized at-home learning with mentorship, enrichment, and fellowship.

What happens at a Excelara School?

  • In-person mentorship and enrichment: hands-on science labs, art and music, PE, and other activities that complement at-home learning.
  • Collaborative learning and fellowship: projects, Socratic discussions, discipleship, and strong peer relationships.
  • Flexible schedules: choose from 2-, 3-, or 5-day options to fit your family’s needs.

Our centers are more than just a place to learn—they are vibrant hubs of fellowship, discipleship, and community life where families connect in person and students experience the joy of learning together.

Gather & celebrate

Gatherings, Events, and Graduation

Throughout the year, American Faith Academy hosts regional and national gatherings where families meet in person, worship together, hear from inspiring speakers, and celebrate what God is doing through the community.

A milestone worth celebrating

Graduation from American Faith Academy is more than receiving a diploma—it is a celebration of faithful learning, character formation, and preparation for a life of purpose. Our annual graduation brings students and families together to honor seniors and commission them for the next chapter.

  • In-person ceremony: a formal commencement that honors the classical tradition.
  • Senior thesis defense: seniors present and defend a culminating thesis—an oral rite of passage.
  • Awards and recognition: excellence in academics, character, service, and leadership.
  • Commissioning for service: graduates are launched as ambassadors for Christ.
  • Community celebration: fellowship after the ceremony strengthens lifelong bonds.
